Chapter 1. Starting your TEEVEE player

1.1 Necessities

You’ll need a A TV with an HDMI connection. For the best quality, a Full HD TV. Not necessary but desirable, audio equipment for the best sound. A LAN and a broadband Internet connection (preferably> 12mb/s), wireless if possible, but for best results, we recommend a LAN cable, to set up your Wi-Fi on your TEEVEE please refer to the page Setting up a Wi-Fi remote control , or a mouse or remote control multimedia. Connect the power supply and plug it into a socket (230V AC). The media player is already configured and the TEEVEE main screen will appear.

Chapter 2. Operating your media player

2.1 Remote Controle

If your TV supports HDMI CEC (At Samsung it calls Anynet +) then your TV is able to transmit signals through the HDMI cable to connected devices. If your TV supports Anynet + CEC is easy to determine: if your TV supports it will automatically turn on your TV and switch to the correct HDMI source, once you turn on the TEEVEE media player.

2.2 TEEVEE Remote Control for IOS devices (Apple)

A second method to control your Teevee is through TEEVEE Remote. This program is available in the Appstore (Official XBMC Remote). If you start using this app on your smartphone or tablet for the first time, check two things: 1) Make sure the media player is turned on and is connected to your network. 2) Make sure your smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi is active on the same network. If points 1 and 2 above is followed correctly then your device will automatically recognize the TEEVEE media player and everything is configured automatically.

2.3 YATSE for ANDROID devices (such as samsung, LG)

A third method to control your Teevee is through TEEVEE Remote. This program is available in the Google Playstore (You can find a paid version and a free version of the app). If you start using this app on your smartphone or tablet for the first time, check two things: 1) Make sure the media player is turned on and is connected to your network. 2) Make sure your smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi is active on the same network. If points 1 and 2 above is followed correctly then your device will automatically recognize the TEEVEE media player and everything will be configured automatically.

Chapter 3. ADDONS

There are a number of popular applications installed on the media player. All our addons are already configured, and have the benefit that you can instantly watch your favourite shows with or without subtitles. You can search for new apps in several ways, the first time takes a bit longer before all the information is retrieved. Once you have found the film or series, you can see the information about the movie just with a simple right click on your mouse, with the same action you can mark the movie as your favourite. The search for new movies and series will be quicker for the 2nd time. You can find your favourite movies and series in the Favorite Folder. If you click on the preferable movie you see a number of streams (streaming sites) from which you can choose of. Sometimes a stream is not working or not available. The optional streams can be very numerous but sometimes very little. Unfortunately, not all the streams work correct due the open source character of the software. Some streams are working well but are quite slow. If you pick the correct one, the movie will start within seconds. If not, wait for max 3 minutes. If the movie won’t start, use another stream. Fortunately, there is almost always a possibility to find a reliable source.

3.1 Streaming/ Downloading

The media player streams the film you want to watch.

This means you can watch your film immediately, no waiting around.

The media player makes sure there is always a few seconds of buffer time incase your internet connection slows down whilst watching a film. It is also possible to activate subtitles.

You can download however make sure you do not break the law.

Chapter 4. Subtitles, Settings, sync.

Subtitles are activated by default. If this does not happen, then there are no subtitles available. Would you still want to put subtitles in manually: then do so in the first few minutes after the film or series has started, you can activate the subtitles (if available on the Internet). Activate the On Screen Display menu, you can use your remote control, 4th button on the right, it looks like a TV screen with a bottom dash. After pressing the button You receive the information for downloading the subtitles directly. You scroll through the possible languages with the up arrow of your remote control. When you selected the correct languages for the subtitles press OK to download. Multiple subtitle files may be available, always try to figure out from the name that it matches with the chosen film version (for example, the DVD version or the 720p version). Remember that the subtitles are made by amateurs and that there are several versions that might not exactly match the video version you have chosen. If a certain selected subtitle is not good, then return to the sub menu and choose another version of the subtitles.

4.1 How to sync subtitles

It may be possible that subtitles are not in synch with the movie and/or sound. To resolve this issue follow the next two steps. If there are very big difference between movie and/or sound, change the source of the subtitles, the chosen movie version and the chosen version of the subtitles will not match. the difference in timing is not as big that sound and movie are not in sync, you can change the subtitles as easy as it should be by changing the subtitles in timeline. To do so: Open the On Screen Display menu and select the option “Subtitle sync”. You will see a bar at the top of your screen. Use the arrows left or right for adjusting the timing. If you have adjusted everything to your satisfaction, press the back or return button on your remote control to return to the movie. * Tip: For the best results turn on the subtitles in the first minutes of the movie or series. NOTE: It is not possible to change the settings for subtitles half way the movie or series.

4.2 Audio synchronisatie

In rare cases, the sound of your movie is not synchronized with the movie itself. Again, TEEVEE offers a solution in the audio menu. In this menu you can find an option called “sync sound”. Open the On Screen Display menu. Go to the audio settings (symbol of a speaker). Here you can see the “sync sound” option, click on it. This opens a bar on top of your screen, press on the arrows to the left or right with your mouse to adjust the timing. If you have adjusted everything to your satisfaction, press the back or return button on your remote control to return back to the movie.

4.3 Youtube

The Youtube App in TEEVEE has a slightly different look than on the computer, but it is very powerful and user friendly. This App has a big benefit, it shows all movies without the annoying advertisements as  Youtube presents on desktop platforms. In addition, all videos are automatically shown in the highest available resolution and full-screen option. If you want all the features and possibilities of Youtube, we recommend you to setup an Youtube account. With this account you can log in in the TEEVEE app. So you have access to your own Youtube videos and playlists. Did you know that almost all the music videos can be found on this Youtube? A playlist of HD music videos is quickly created on the computer, and played easily on the TEEVEE. A major advantage of this media player is that the player is native and doesn’t see the TEEVEE as a mobile device. Much copyrighted content such as video clips, are blocked for mobile viewing. TEEVEE has no problems with it, everything can be played.

4.4 NL Sports

Here you can view different sports streams such as live football and Formula 1 * Tip: If the stream points out red, the stream is not available. If the stream points out green, it’s available. In this option you’ll find live Formula 1, MotoGP and Football.
